Banded Demoiselle

One of the reasons for running July macro workshops at St Catherine’s Hill is that dragonflies and damselflies can often drop in from the nearby river. These male Banded Demoiselles can be tricky to get close to but with patience you can stalk them successfully. By using my depth of field preview button I could check depth of field accurately without stopping to check my images which would waste time and likely scare off the damselfly.
