Burnham Low Light

Reference: OT1
Location: Somerset
Gallery: Other Landscapes,

Having seen Laura in Bristol I headed back home via Burnham so that I could photograph the lighthouse. The low light, as it’s called, is an active lighthouse and a Grade II listed building. The area has one of the highest tidal ranges in the world and the tide can recede for over 2km here. I shot from the seaward side because I wanted to include the striking red stripe and also because the sand was much less trampled here.
