Fawley Power Station

Reference: HA106
Location: Hampshire
Gallery: Hampshire,

The impressive Fawley Power Station was oil fired and its 650 feet chimney provides an excellent focal point. It was commissioned in 1971 but with the high cost of oil it was closed down in 2013. The site has been sold to a developer and so it is likely to become the location for residential developments in the future although decommissioning and demolition is expected to take several years.
