The Grizzled Skipper is a small springtime butterfly of southern chalk downland and is sadly becoming increasingly rare. It can be relatively obliging stopping regularly either to feed on flowers such as Horse-shoe Vetch or land on a prominent perch such as Dropwort, like in this image.
