It was clear that the sun would disappear below a bank of cloud well before sunset although in the few minutes before it did the light was good and from a low viewpoint with a wide angled lens I could exaggerate the lavender lines and could include both the trees on the left and the setting sun in the composition. The beautiful blue grey clouds were a real bonus and the first clouds I’d seen for about a fortnight!  A 2-stop graduated filter balanced the sky nicely.
