In order to add drama I shot very low and close to enlarge the size of the rock pool and to increase the impact of the cracks in the ledge. As I often have my camera down at shin level I use a tripod without a central column so that I can splay the legs flat allowing very low shooting angles. Although the heavy cloud cover had been clearing out towards the east there was just enough left in a great position and some lovely pinks developed.
