Selsey Life Boat Station

The Selsey Life Boat station is being rebuilt and the existing iconic pier may be pulled down at some point. I decided to visit before it was too late. I had visited a week or so before when several forecasts had predicted favourable conditions. I should have listened to the Met Office who had correctly forecasted a grey overcast dawn. As I was driving to Selsey on this my second visit I could see a clear band at the horizon and felt sure I would get some decent shots, it turned out even better than I’d hoped. This image was taken 45 minutes before sunrise and so it was still dark.
